Design Informatics 2014-2015 Q3 started!
At friday the 13th a fresh selection of students gathered around to start the Technoledge course of Design Informatics. This blog will be the place to keep you updated on the progress of the design. We wish all of us good luck and prosperity designing a fabulous object!
PURvilion – The Unveiling
After a morning of retouching and installing the final elements, the PURvilion was finally unveiled … and what a beauty she was! The PURvilion will be placed between the zuidserre and the eastwing of the bouwkunde (architecture) building. Make sure to take a look at it and ofcourse to have a seat on it!

Almost there …!
More than two weeks of building, about 4 cubic meters of PUR used and a whole lot of fabric cut. Will we make it on time to finish our object!
The sun is shining.. the PUR-weather is sweet, yeah
It is a sunny and bright monday morning, excitement and suspense fills the air, as we finally begin production of the PUR-blocks. Daylight, a PUR-machine at the right temperature, goggles and new glove at the ready.. “so that’s the recipe for making PURblocks”.
As for now: 2 down.. 25 to go!
Teamwork, Dedication and a Testpanel!
After weeks of preparation we were finally able to produce our first testpanel today! The panel showed we still have to solve some issues for the final model, but it proved that the concept of the molds work.
